Die Eröffnung unserer Ausstellung in der Kunsthalle Mannheim war schön.
Erfolgreich, gelobt, gut besucht... keine Ahnung wie man das in Fachkreisen beschreibt.
Es ist schon verrückt. Da habe ich Wochen damit verbracht, mich auf diese Ausstellung vorzubereiten und meinen Beitrag zu dem zur Ausstellung erschienenen Meisterschülerkatalog zu machen (danke Kai) und dann geht alles "ratzfatz".
Alles hängt.
Der Katalog liegt im Museums Shop.
1000 Hände werden geschüttelt.
Es wird betrachtet und interpretiert.
Der Sekt macht high.
Und plötzlich ist alles still.
Nur in meinem Kopf ist die Stille noch nicht angekommen.
Der Katalog ist im modo Verlag, Freiburg, erschienen.

It is created! The opening of our exhibition in the arts center Mannheim was beautiful.
Successfully, praised, well visited... don´t know how experts describes. It is already crazy.
There I spent weeks with preparing me for this exhibition and make the work for the exhibition catalog and then everything goes completely fast.
Pictures are at the wall.
The catalog is in the museum shop.
1000 hands are vibrated.
It is regarded and interpreted.
The sparkling wine makes high.
And suddenly everything is quiet.
Only in my head the silence did not arrive yet.
01.07.2007"Kunst ist schön, macht aber viel Arbeit" (Karl Valentin)
Seit vorgestern bauen wir unsere Meisterschüler Ausstellung in der Kunsthalle Mannheim auf.
27 Meisterschüler und Meisterschülerinnen in 3 Räumen losgelassen. Im Vorfeld habe ich ja viel Chaos vermutet, aber es läuft gut. Da sind sogar Hausmeister, die uns mit Werkzeug und Aufmerksamkeit beglücken. Nur die Löcher in die Betonwand mußten wir selber bohren.
Schlagbohrer haben wirklich etwas "Durchdringendes". Physisch wie psychisch.
Nur die Fussel auf dem Glas meiner Rahmen sind fieser.
Wobei ich froh bin, dass ich kein 3,6 auf 4,2 Meter Bild aufhängen muss, das aus 6 Teilen besteht, die auf den Millimeter genau zusammen passen müssen.

Since the day before yesterday we develop our master pupil exhibition in the arts center Mannheim. 27 master pupils released in 3 areas. In the apron I assumed much chaos, but it runs well. There are even caretakers, who make us lucky with tools and attention. Only the holes into the concrete wall we had to bore ourselves. Percussion drills are really "penetrating". Physically as psychological. Only the lints on the glass of my frameworks are more filthy. Whereby I am glad that I do not have to hang up a 3.6 to 4.2 metre picture, which consists of 6 parts, which must fit on the millimetre exactly together.

30.04.2007 Klasse 06 in der Galerie Supper in Karlsruhe.
Herr Supper hat sich die Winterausstellung 06/07 angeschaut und 6 Leute von der Akademie auserkoren bei sich auszustellen. Ich bin dabei. Jippie. "Srap 1-3" und "Elf Tiger" hängen da nun.
Ich will mich an dieser Stelle mal ganz herzlich für die nette Betreuung bedanken.

05.03.2007 Das ist Antje Schumacher. Meine beste Freundin und sehr geschätzte Sängerin, Musikerin, Schauspielerin, Komödiantin...
Dieses Bild von ihr, habe ich heute fotografiert und bearbeitet. Es geht nichts über Freunde, die mal eben Material für ihre Präsentation brauchen ("Duhu... Tanja, kannst Du mal schnell...").
Aber mit Antje beruht das auf Gegenseitigkeit und für sie mache ich das gerne.
Sie darf meine Dienste lebenslang in Anspruch nehmen, weil sie mir sehr viel Inspiration, Protagonistin für meine Kunst (siehe "Existentialismus" bei Filme) und immer für mich da ist.
Die perfekte Wechselwirkung eben.

That is Antje Schumacher. My best friend and very estimated singer, musician, actress, comedian...
I made and worked on this picture of her today. Friends, who brew material for their presentation fast, are irreplaceable ("hi... Tanja, I need this very fast"). But with Antje it is based on mutuality and for her I make that gladly. She may take my services up lifelong, because she is very much inspiration, favorite actress for my art (see "Existentialismus" at films) and always there for me. The perfect reciprocal effect.

"Hast Du den Farbeimer absichtlich in die linke Ecke gestellt?"
"Ja."
"Wie wäre es, wenn Du den Farbeimer in die rechte Ecke stellen würdest, um z.B. den Kontext zur "recht schaffenden" Kunst zu symbolisieren?"
"Ich will aber einen optischen Ausgleich zur rechtslastigen Bilddominanz herstellen."
"Ausgleich? Kunst bewegt durch Spannungserzeugung!"
"Nennt es wie ihr wollt. Ausgleich - Spannung. Außerdem, Ausgleich kann Spannung sein und Spannung Ausgleich."
Nun ja, ich habe sie geliebt und gehasst... unsere allwöchentlichen Klassenbesprechungen.
Emotional hatte ich das Bedürfnis, mich wie auf einen Auftritt vorzubereiten. Als wäre ich Schauspielerin, nicht Künstlerin. Rational waren unsere Zusammenkünfte aber sowieso unberechenbar. Nur so viel war klar: Wer nicht erklären kann, was er tut, ist verloren.
Das ist die Übung hinter der Übung. Was mache ich eigentlich?
Kunst?
Heute habe ich mal wieder freiwillig teilgenommen, weil Caramelle seine zwei Meisterschülerinnen von der Anwesenheitspflicht entbunden hat.

"Have you the color bucket intentionally posed into the left corner?"
"Yes."
"If you would place the color bucket into the right corner, would it be symbolize for example the context to the quite creating art?"
"But I want to manufacture however an optical reconciliation to leaning to the right picture dominance."
"Reconciliation? Art moves by tension!"
"It calls like it wants. Reconciliation - tension. In addition, reconciliation can be tension and tension reconciliation."
Well, I loved and hated... our weekly class discussions.
Emotional I had the need to have to prepare me as for an appearance. As if I would be an actress, not artist. Rationally our meetings were however incalculable.
Only so much was clear: Who was not able to explain how he or she does, was lost.
That is the exercise behind the exercise. What do I actually make?
Art?
Today I participated voluntarily again, because Caramelle freed his two master pupils from the presence obligation.

Das ist Steffi Baatz. Diese tolle und nette Frau macht meine Hompage. Und sie ist natürlich Mitglied im "Konspirativen-Team", zu dem so einige gehören, die im Folgenden in meinem Skizzenbuch auftauchen werden.
Steffi ist ein Beispiel dafür, dass Büro und Kreativität sich nicht unbedingt widersprechen müssen. Sie schreibt und "bastelt" - zur Freude ihrer Mitmenschen. Danke.
This is Steffi Baatz. This nice woman makes my Hompage. And she is naturally member in the "Conspiratn-team", to which some people belong, which I will present in my sketch book in following times. Steffi is an example for the fact that also humans with civil occupations have large creative potential. She is a writer and "tinker-girl" - for the pleasure of her friends. Thanks.

Heute habe ich mich selbst "recycelt".
Foto abfotografieren, dieses wieder abfotografieren, dieses wieder abfotografieren, dieses wieder abfotografieren, dieses wieder abfotografieren, dieses wieder abfotografieren, dieses wieder...
Theoretisch ginge das bis zur Unendlichkeit.
Und wenn sie nicht gestorben ist...
Today I "recycelt myself". Photograph off a Photo, this again, this again, this again, this again, this again, this again... Theoretically it would go up to the infinity. And if they did not die...
01.01.2007Ich bin seit Sommer 2006 Diplom-Künstlerin und Meisterschülerin von Ernst Caramelle. Auf Lebenszeit. Wow.
Natürlich gibt es eine Menge Kommentare dazu. Künstlerkollegen machen das gerne nieder. Klar, was sagt so ein Diplom- und Meisterschülertitel schon über die eigene Kunst aus. Die Verwandtschaft hingegen denkt, davon kann man sich was kaufen.
1. Das Diplom bedeutet mir nicht mehr und nicht weniger, als dass ich es gemacht habe. Pflichtübung mit Begeisterung gut gemeistert.
2. Was den Meisterschülertitel betrifft: Den find ich toll. Spitze, um genau zu sein. Die Meisterschüler-Urkunde, die ich bekommen habe, hänge ich mir vielleicht an die Wand. Wie damals die Ehrenurkunde der Bundesjugendspiele (westdeutsche Ex-Jugendliche werden sich erinnern). Das ist ein Scherz.
Ernst hingegen ist, dass ich mich freue Meisterschülerin von Caramelle zu sein, weil ich ihn sehr schätze und das damit verbundene Meisterschülerjahr wichtig ist (sein Name ist das Sahnehäubchen).
Der talentierte Mr. Caramelle hat keine Hompage, aber wer sich für ihn interessiert wird bei "google" tausendfach fündig.
I am since summer of 2006 diploma artist and master pupil of Ernst Caramelle. On lifetime. Wow. Naturally there are a quantity of comments in addition. Artist colleagues annihilate that gladly. Clearly, such a diploma and a master pupil title already states less about the own art. The relatives however think, I can buy something with it.
1. The diploma does not mean more and less than that I made it. Obligation exercise with enthusiasm well mastered.
2. Which concerns the master pupil title: It is wonderful. Perhaps I hang the master pupils document, which I got, to my wall. Like at that time the honour document of the federal youth of plays (West German ex young people will remember). That is a joke. Seriously however is that I am pleased to be master pupil from Caramelle, because I estimate him much and the associated master pupil year is important (his name is the cream hood).
Who is interessted in Mr. Caramelle, will find him thousandfold with "google".
18.12.2006Winterausstellung 06/07
Die Winterausstellungen an der Kunstakademie Karlsruhe werden von einer jährlich wechselnden Gruppe Professoren gestaltet. Studenten und Studentinnen ab dem 5. Semester können sich mit maximal 3 Arbeiten bewerben. Meine Serie "Scrap 1-3" und mein Film wurden angenommen.
John Bock war für den Aufbau der Videos zuständig. Er wollte, dass wir uns von unserem Alleinstellungsbedürfnis verabschieden: "Studenten wollen immer alles auf einen weißen Sockel stellen. Ihr müsst Euch aber nicht immer so wichtig nehmen".
Unverblümte Professoren-Worte.
Er hat schließlich entschieden, dass alle Filme zusammen installiert werden.
Natürlich haben wir davor erstmal 2 Stunden diskutiert.
Ein Mitstudent meinte: "Müssen wir unbedingt auf Mini ZKM machen". Diesen Seitenhieb verstehen leider nur Insider, die um die Präsenz des ZKM (Zentrum für Medienkunst) in Karlsruhe wissen. Ich fand den Kommentar super. John Bocks Konzept aber auch. Ich hab gelernt, dass ich nicht der Mittelpunkt des Universums bin.
Dafür wurde ich dann der "Mittelpunkt" zwischen zwei anderen Videoarbeiten.

Winter exhibition 06/07
The annual winter exhibition at the academy is an exhibition, which is arranged by a group of professors. Students from the 5. term on can apply with maximally 3 works.
My work "Scrap 1-3" and my film were accepted.
John Bock was responsible for the structure of the videos. He wanted that we to our particularly position need to say good-bye: "students want always place everything on a white base. Do not take your self always so importantly".
Clear professor words. He finally decided that all films are together installed.
Naturally we discussed before two hours.
One student meant: "Having we absolutely make on mini ZKM ".
Unfortunately only insider, which know around the operational readiness level of the ZKM (center for media art) in Karlsruhe, understand this side blow.
I liked this comment very much. But John Bocks video structure too.
I learned that I am not the center of the universe. But I became then the "center" between two other video works.
